This summer, the Maricopa Community Colleges
is presenting the Broadway hit Little of Horrors at
Phoenix Theatre from July 29 through August 7. Phoenix Theater is located at
100 E. McDowell. This is the
first time a number of Maricopa Community Colleges are joining creative forces
to produce a major Broadway musical under the sponsorship of the District’s
Maricopa Center for Learning and Instruction in collaboration with the MCC Music
Department.
This production is also a promotion for the
Maricopa Community Colleges’ Literacy-Outreach
programs. There will be silent auctions at many
of the performances, and the proceeds will go
to expand programs in which community college
students go to the school to tutor schoolchildren
struggling with their reading and writing.
